STRUCTURE   

IPEBLA’s Eighteenth Biennial Conference taking place in Amsterdam, Netherlands from August 28th to August 30th, 2022  will be a working conference, giving common and civil law lawyers from different countries the opportunity to discuss current domestic and international issues affecting their practice in pension, executive compensation and related employee benefits fields. Attendees must be lawyers.  In the past, attendees have been lawyers in private practice, in-house counsel, government lawyers and lawyers in teaching or research at a university. This conference provides unique networking opportunities for lawyers practicing or interested in this area of the law. The two days of the conference will consist of plenary sessions and topical workshops of regional and global significance and are designed to encourage delegate participation. 

LANGUAGE   

The language of the conference will be English. All conference papers or presentations should be in English. If a paper or presentation cannot be submitted in English and is submitted in another language, a short summary must be provided in English.

LOCATION

The conference will be held at the Amsterdam Marrriott Hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam.

DRESS CODE

Dress code for the conference sessions during the day will be business casual (no ties or jackets necessary).  Dress for evening activities will be casual for the Sunday evening welcome reception and dinner, and business formal for the gala dinner on Monday evening. 

HOTEL RATES & RESERVATIONS

The hotel accommodation costs at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel are not included in the conference or guest registration fees.  IPEBLA has reserved a block of rooms at the hotel from August 27 - August 30, 2022 (check out on August 31). Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Amsterdam Marriott Hotel will honour the preferential guest room rate three days prior and three days after the conference based on availability.
