International Association for Insurance Law/ Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA)
AIDA is a non-profit making international association, formed in 1960, for the purpose of promoting and developing at an international level, collaboration between its members with a view to increasing the study and knowledge of international and national insurance law and related matters. It is AIDA’s aim to propose measures with a view to the insurance industry adopting them at a national and international level, leading to harmonisation of insurance law or means for resolution of insurance disputes.

Ad Hoc Group on Private Pensions of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), (OECD WPPP)

International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS)
The International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS) is an independent international body representing those involved in the supervision of private pension arrangements. The organisation currently has around 60 members and observers representing approximately 50 countries and territories worldwide.

International Social Security Association (ISSA)
The International Social Security Association (ISSA) is the principal international institution bringing together social security agencies and organizations. The ISSA’s aim is to promote dynamic social security as the social dimension in a globalizing world by supporting excellence in social security administration. Founded in 1927, the ISSA Secretariat has its headquarters at the International Labour Office, in Geneva.

International Federation of Pension Funds Administrators (FIAP)
According to its by-laws, the corporate purpose of the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators (FIAP) is to disseminate, promote, defend, publicize and otherwise facilitate the development of social security systems based on saving and individual capitalization, through pension funds managed by financial services companies: pension fund administrators.

International Pensions Research Network (IPRN)
Pensions-Research.Org is the website of the International Pensions Research Network (IPRN),  the research network of the International Network of Pension Regulators and Supervisors (INPRS). INPRS  includes regulatory and supervisory organisations and individuals in over 60 countries. Members of IPRN will include both individual scholars and experts as well as research centres.

Association of Pension Lawyers – United Kingdom (APL)
The APL is an association established and run by lawyers specialising in pensions in the UK. It is non-profit making. Its main aims are to promote awareness of the importance of the role of law in the provision of pensions and to operate as a forum for discussion and education amongst pension lawyers.

Belgian Pensions Lawyers Association (BePLA)
The association seeks to promote awareness of the importance of the role of law in the provision of pensions, disability, medical and other related benefits and in defining the relationships between employers, pension funds, insurance companies, employees, beneficiaries and other stakeholders. It brings together Belgian bar members (avocats/advocaten) who have experience in advising or litigating in pension law matters.

Pension Lawyers Association of South Africa (PLA)
The Pension Lawyers Association of South Africa was founded in 1996 and is a body of legal practitioners who specialize in giving advice on retirement fund and employee benefits law and practice.

American Bar Association (ABA): Joint Committee on Employee Benefits (JCEB)
he JCEB is comprised of the ABA sections of business law; health law; labor and employment law; real property, trust and estate law; taxation; and tort trial and insurance practice coordinates employee benefits activities including CLE programs and meetings with federal agency officials.

Vereniging voor pensioenrecht (Dutch Association of Pension Lawyers)
The Association of Pension Law is an association open to anyone interested in pension law. The association organizes an average of four meetings per year. The themes of these meetings are topical issues in the pension world. Once a year a book published following one of the meetings.

Vereniging van Pensioenjuristen (Dutch Association of Pension Law)
Since 2001 there is a group of certified pension consultants and pension lawyers all these developments closely, interpret and implement. The pension shall be entitled CPL lawyers, pension consultants CPC title. For the title retired lawyer / consultant to acquire and retain one must to a large number of requirements. Canadian Bar Association (CBA) National Pensions and Benefits Law Section 
This National Section has been developed based on the rationale that pensions and benefits law affects all members of the public across Canada, in all provincial jurisdictions and in the federal jurisdiction, and encompasses a wide range of complex legal issues. As such, a need existed for a national non-partisan voice to further the knowledge of pensions and benefits law within the legal profession to contribute to national policy, harmonization and legislative initiatives and to serve as a legal resource for the public.

Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Pension and Benefits Section 
Pension and benefit issues are taking on considerable importance and this Section can help position you and your practice to deal with the emerging issues. This Section deals extensively with the establishment, funding, administration and regulation of pension plans, profit sharing plans, deferred compensation arrangements, and other employee benefit plans in both the public and private sectors.
